Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper

I will admit I was the last person to ever think I would like a Barbie movie, until I actually saw one. The entire fairy tale series are some of the best children's movies I have ever seen. The dialogues are great, never dumbing down or putting in unnecessary pop culture references. They don't have overly scary plots and are never too intense, unlike most disney movies. They use big words and big concepts without spelling every detail out. The women in these series are strong, smart, resourceful, kind, well-mannered, well-spoken, and independent - excellent role models for girls. The music is always first class - played by a philharmonic orchestra. If there is dancing, the choreography is authentic, based on actual ballet dancers. Put aside any preconceived notions you might have had about a Barbie movie and get the fairy tale series. They are first rate! I wish I could rave as much about the newer ones, but they are not on the same level as these are. 100% better than any Disney movie I have seen

I absolutely LOVE this movie! Beautiful story & songs.....I am singing these to my daughter all the time. I love the romance between Erika & king Dominick(this prince makes my heart skip a beat!) I watch this over & over with my daughter, and I love it every time! My least favorite part is the villain's song.....but the rest is A++

I bought this Barbie moved based upon my daughter's love for Barbie and the reviews on Amazon stating this was more than just a Barbie movie. The singing and story line are wonderful! My 4 year old daughter and even my 6 year old son love this. I would say this movie gives all the teen shows out there a HUGE run for their money in the signing department. My daughter knows all the songs and is mesmerized by this movie. Would absolutely purchase again.

I watched this when i was younger, and it was a fantastic movie! The songs, the characters and the storyline. The I'm just like you song gave me goosebumps! Erikaa's songs were just as brilliant. Preminger also was quite entertaining throughout the movie. Overall it was a great movie. It's worth seeing!:)

The best story-line out of the whole barbie movie series. Great musical with interesting new characters.
