Barbie Dream Dining Set - Pink

The pieces are super small and flimsy. I did buy this for a 4 year old so maybe that is part of the problem. It just really wasn't up to my standards.

I bought this item for my daughter who just turned 5. She loves Barbie - but the dining room table and chairs are not sturdy at all. They keep falling over and are not well made. The accessories (utensils, plates, etc.) are too small to play with. The lamp already broke. I would not recommend this product.

All the pieces to Mattel's Barbie Pink furniture line are adorable and are up to date with today's fashion and design conscience little girls, but wow, talk about all the little pieces that come along with the sets that seriously are a hazard to anyone who has animals in the house. After my daughter is finished playing with her Barbies and setting up house, I have to make sure each and every time that ALL the little pieces are retrieved for the sake of my pups. If it weren't for me worrying about my little dogs, I would rest easier. As a matter of fact, I wish I had so many options with my Barbies back in the 60's. Overall, the furniture is functional and the rooms are glam! She has a lot of fun playing with her Barbies and that's all that matters most.

My daughter got this as a Christmas present and I think I've had as much setting it up as she has! They thought of everything from placemats, to napkins, to individual silverware! There is even a leaf in the table to make it wider! This is a super fun set! My one small complaint is that it comes apart easy enough that we decided to hot glue it together, but other than that, we love it!!

My kids are four a six and really wanted this. The good part is that it has a lot of accessories and can be combined with their other Barbie play sets. They love playing with all of these toys and can spend a long time in imaginative play.

There are a few negatives. It's nearly impossible to get a doll to sit at the table. They don't fit well into the chairs and they tend to fall over. I've managed to fit two dolls across the table from eachother, but that was by cantelevering their legs under the table. The other negative is that there are a ton of tiny pieces. Again, this isn't a big deal in our house (we store all tiny pieces in a container with a lid) but might be an issue in a house with smaller children.

The girls really like this toy and play with it, in conjunction with their other sets, often.
