Barbie In a Mermaid Tale Merliah Doll

This is a cool mermaid doll with color changing hair and fading tattos. easily changes to human with a trick of her outfit. My little girl has lots of fun with this doll and loves it so much.

Both my 2 year old and five year old are having a lot of fun with this Barbie. It is made very well. And it changes from a mermaid to a regular girl. We tried the color changing with some ice. It works, but this is a kind of a gimmick that really isn't necessary. All in all I say it is a nice toy.

I got this toy after receiving some money for my birthday. I loved this toy, and I figured out how to solve her certain 'defects', which I'll go into more detail about presently. But I would highly recommend this particular Barbie. BTW, her dolphin's name is Zuma (pronounced ZOO-muh). Anyway, one of the defects was that her hair wouldn't fit into the hoodie. I solved this by simply making her hair into a little loop at the bottom and pushing it in. Another defect was that her hair, tattoos, and toenails wouldn't change color. However, I accidentally left her out wet overnight. Overnight, the water cooled, and when I went into the bathroom, TA-DA! Her hair was pink and her tattoos were purple. Apparently, it had to be COLD water.:) Oops! Her toenails had dried overnight, so they stayed the same color, but I presume they're functional too. Lastly, the hoodie didn't fasten because of a little yellow piece of cloth over one of the Velcros, so I took that off. Those are the only defects I've encountered so far, and she (Merliah) ROCKS! When we bought the doll she already had pink nails, pink tatoo and pink color in her hair. After we put her ina cold water all this coloring disapeared and never came back. My daughter is very dissapointed. What a waste of money!

My 4 year old grand-daughter enjoyed playing with this Barbie doll as she watched the DVD. Fun in the water toy!
