Merissa Doll Barbie Fairytopia Mermaidia

I love the Mermaidia line of dolls! This doll is really pretty and goes well with my collection of mermaid dolls. I highly recommend her to anyone who loves mermaids!

These mermaid Barbies were the best barbies we've bought. They are durable and have lasted through multiple vacations to hotels which housed both bromine and chlorine swimming pools and visits to the ocean. They are a favorite bathtime toy. The color and tattoos have lasted through all of this. I rated these Barbies as educational because not only do they learn about water dynamics and buoyancy but when my girls play Barbies, they learn about appropriate social interaction. This is a real world skill that will help them throughout their lives.

This Merissa Doll Barbie Fairytopia Mermaidia is great because the tail is attatched, and therefore, doesn't fall off. My daughter is thrilled. This doll is pretty and sturdy. The "tatoos" don't show up very well, which is why I didn't give this product 5 stars. But, parents, if you are looking for a mermaid for the tub, this one is a great buy--I think I paid $[...] (the others, with a detatchable tail, were $[...]!).

Still wondering how some of these toys make the market...
We received this as a gift. She is a lovely doll, but the water tattoo features do not work properly. We get the hair to change color perfectly, but the body art tatoos do not cooperate. We've used very icy water, and still, the body art appears for a few seconds then fades. Frustrating, annoying, glad I didn't spend my own money on it. But we still love the doll because she is beautifully designed, I just wish they would have spend more time working on this flaw.

I just got this doll and she is very fun to play with! i rub ice on her to make her hair change color and make the cool designs appear but the designs go away to quickly if you ask me Mattel should have just made the designs permanent anyways this doll is cool and everyone should buy it!
