Barbie Fairytopia Mermaidia Elina Doll

This Barbie is beautiful.Everyone who doesn't like it can go ahead and drown himself.The Whole "Mermaidia" movie was great.I highly reccomend this magnificent doll bacause it's absolutley perfect.

I bought this for my [...] daughter when she broke her arm 3 1/2 weeks ago. She absolutely loves this doll. She is playing with it now as I write this. She plays with it constantly every day and usually asks to take it with her everytime we go out. My daughter usually plays with other toys she gets new for maybe a week and then forgets all about it, NOT this toy. And she has a broken arm and can still easily switch it from fairy to mermaid without any trouble.

If you are one of those kids that love to play out movies you have seen and liked, well this is the doll for you. I recently earned £200.99 because I gave up all chocolates and sweets for the past 3 years! The first thing I did was buy DOLLS!!! I think it must be a sickness or something, but I ADORE DOLLS!!! I also bought the Mermaidia DVD and I bought this doll to go with it when it was 1/2 price in Woolworths! I like this doll because I can take her and play with her in the sink and then if I just want to pretend she is a normal Barbie again, I detatch her tail. Sometimes I make her a fairy to go with that awesome butterfly Hue!!!

I love Elina!!!She is soo beautiful!!I eally love her beautiful sparkly hair!!!I love it when her wings pop up.I only had her for one day so Im nt sure about her durability....I have only one concern.....it says there on the instruction sheet that her wings flap when you press her necklace.....but when I pressed it, my Barbie's wings showed no motion at all!.....well never maid the wings still flap when I move her around.I havent seen the movie yet but all the comercials kinda told me it;s gonna be super great!I love her clothes!!her dress is like a jelly fish, but her blouse is paited on. you can't change her clothes and everything, but I don't really care.Here are the explanations for my stars

Fun:Definatly!!!I love to change her from fairy to mermaid, and so on, and I like flaping her wings!!

Educational:Not really.....unless you're learning about fairies and mermaids!!

Durablility:It ok...I only had it for one day, but the wings DO crumple up if you keep the mermaid position too long.

Overall: I love this toy, and I love mermaids and fairies!I sure this would be a perfect toy for barbie fans and fairy/mermaid lovers. Hope this Helpes!!

Barbie Fan

First of all, just so you know, I HATE barbie. She is made to look like a grownup, so its hard for us kids to pretend she is doing things that kids do. She is often dressed all revealing and its sickening to me that people like this and want to give it to kids.

My baby sister, 7, just got this as a birthday present a few days ago. She LOVES Barbie. She got this doll expecting to have fun. She then realized she couldn't use it to play with her 38 other barbies, and my mom found herself buying more of the mermaidia barbies and spending MORE money. It's also kind of hard for little kids to put her together. A WARNING TO PARENTS OF 3 TO 7 YEAR OLDS: YOU WILL SPEND A LOT OF TIME SWITCHING THIS BARBIE AROUND!!!
The movie was horrible. Elina is supposed to be heroic, but shes not. She is girly and wimpy. It was badly written. I do like the other movies but not this one.

Another note on Barbie- she is a cliche. She is only what people expect women to be. Just look at her "figure" and her blonde hair. She is constantly talking about boys and fashion. It's annoying. My sister owns coloring books of barbie, and in every single one, Barbie ends up on a date with Ken or whatever guy. There is one where she cleans up a park, but only so she can get ready for a date with Ken. And after she stopped "dating" Ken, they put in a LITTLE KIDS DOLL COMMERCIAL the line "sorry ken, dissed again". after Ken asks to come to play with the other dolls.
Now, don't buy this barbie or any others, go buy an only hearts club doll.
