Great toy, but wings fall off
My 3-1/2 year old loves this toy, even with the wings falling off. We bought this toy, the wings fell off and we weren't able to keep them on. We returned the toy and got a second one, and the wings still fall off, but we are able to pop them back on easier than the first. Regardless, she still loves the toy. But if you don't have time to put the wings on, or have a child that is a little rough with toys... don't buy. You can still use the toy as a regular barbie... she is very beautiful! 2008-12-29

Beautiful, BUT not worth the money
I love Barbie Dolls for collecting and for my daughter to play with. This one I would pass on. The wings don't stay on - I've even superglued them and still they don't stay put. She is beautiful as all Barbie dolls are. The wings system just should have been better thought out. Pass. 2008-12-28
Fly Away Barbie!
Like many others, I bought this Barbie thinking that it would be a reasonably durable toy for my five year old daughter. Wrong, Wrong Wrong. The wings never stuck on correctly, and fell off almost immediately. After reattaching them a dozen times, Super Glue finally made them stay. Quality is certainly not Job #1! 2008-12-26
Beautiful, and very high maintenance!
After months of hopeful requests from my 4 year old daughter for this doll, Santa left Mariposa this morning under our Christmas tree. The doll is lovely and sparkly and will capture the imagination of most young girls, but those darn wings are a never-ending frustration. We've had it open less than a few hours and already I've had to hook them back on at least 15-20 times. I'm caught between exchanging it for the other Mariposa with the smaller wings or gluing the wings on with super glue as other posters have suggested. I wish I read the reviews before we asked Santa for this gift -I never imagined the very poor design problem on the wings! 2008-12-25
